Here's where we ate lunch in the little mountain village of Guarda.

Like most mountain villages, Guarda was quiet and charming.

This doorway put us in mind of a Hobbit's home. Notice how the
street slopes steeply past the front of the house. You have to adjust
your benches accordingly. There is a lot of walking either up or down
in these villages, very little walking on the flat.
