A beautiful home in Monstein. What a fabulous view!
Note the waterfall across the gorge. There are waterfalls everywhere.

Another pretty cottage in Monstein. We found the mountain village very charming.

It was time to leave Davos and head to Austria and on to Germany.
To get
through the
Alps quickly, we took a train
which accommodated not only people,
but also
automobiles and trucks. It went very
fast and was a weird experience.
The
train took us through what seemed like an endless tunnel many miles under
the mountains. The mines of Moria !!

On the other side of the long tunnel, we stopped for lunch in a Swiss
mountain town called Guarda. Lunch was homemade vegetable soup
and German bread. We wandered through the town seeing
all the Renaissance buildings.
