Today is our last day of touring, for tomorrow we travel. We left the Roman Camp Hotel (a very pink structure) after a delicious breakfast. Pat had the typical Scotland breakfast, consisting of poached eggs, haggis, and some kind of
Day 8 – The Nevis Range, Trossachs National Park
Last night I didn’t sleep well, maybe three hours, and then at breakfast I managed somehow to wrench a muscle in my back. So not a good start. But we had a nice breakfast and headed south. Along the way
Day 7 – Whiskey Distillery, Loch Ness, Uruquhart Castle
We liked the bathroom at Muckrach House. Nice and big. (European bathrooms always seem too small.) We have had good food everywhere we’ve been. The only things I won’t eat are haggis and wood pigeon. I also opted out on

Day 2, Edinburgh
Finally got a good night’s sleep and then flew out of Dublin in the early afternoon. Took a turbo-prop to Edinburgh. Weather is great here, too, although somewhat chillier in the evening. Again, taxi driver was almost impossible to understand
Day 1, Dublin
Got to try out the Delta One accommodations on an overnight trip from Boston to Dublin. I actually got some sleep! Arrived in Dublin on Monday morning, around 10:00 am. Weather was just perfect! Took a cab from the airport
