Sunday, Sep 10 - Heading Home

Got to the airport and dropped off the car. We had a lot of passport and security checks, but everything went smoothly, until… at the security check-through, Pat’s laptop slid off the rollers and fell on the floor. The security guy wasn’t watching it and couldn’t catch it in time. Pat came running back through the security gate to see if it was broken. It started up okay, but one of the latches had snapped off.

Our plane was delayed slightly because a passenger that had checked their luggage on board never showed up on the aircraft. So they had to remove his luggage before we left. It was a long flight home against 100 mph winds, but we finally made it without incident. It was good to be home!!
