This morning we decided to go get a tour of the inside of Hearst Castle, since last night was just outdoors. We took the "great rooms" tour, so we saw the entry hall, the dining hall and the billiards room.

We then walked the grounds, going past the Neptune Pool. Apparently this pool was torn out and renovated three times until the Hearst family was happy with it.

Then we exited past the tennis courts which were built above the indoor pool. What a pool!

We ate lunch at the visitor's center, then took off for Pismo Beach, our next stop along the way.

While we were waiting for our table at our restaurant, we got to see some humpback whales blowing off shore. Thousands of birds circled wherever they were feeding. Pismo Beach seems to be a haven for birds. Pelicans were everywhere.
